Todd M Janssen
Vice President - Land Development

Mr. Janssen joined Waterstone Development in 2008 and brings over 21 years of land acquisition and development experience in the formation of large master-planned communities.

Immediately prior to joining Waterstone, Mr. Janssen spent approximately eleven years with Meritage Homes and Pulte/Del Webb Homes in charge of land acquisition and development in Central Texas. During this time he was directly responsible for the planning, entitlement and delivery of approximately 11,000 lots and related amenities in numerous communities, as well as the negotiation and contracting for finished lots from various development entities.

Most significant of these communities was the 7500-home Sun City Texas, located in Georgetown. This 4,300-acre master-planned project includes three golf courses and over 100,000 square feet of amenity space. Duties included Development Agreement negotiation, neighborhood site planning, consultant coordination, procurement of entitlements and all aspects of neighborhood and amenity construction. During his nine year tenure with Sun City he also served as Vice President of Board of Directors for the SCTX Community Association.

Prior to his career in homebuilding, Mr. Janssen worked as a development engineer for nearly 11 years in both California and Texas and is a licensed Professional Engineer in both states. Primary responsibilities included the preparation of improvement plans, federal, state and local agency coordination and permitting, as well as site construction supervision/inspection for large master-planned, mixed use communities.
