Joseph M. Rutledge
Senior Vice-President/Head of Construction

Mr. Rutledge's banking experience was in both real estate loan origination as an Assistant Vice President for Interfirst Bank Austin from 1982 to 1985; and in real estate loan recovery as a Vice President for Briercroft Savings Association from 1986 to 1989. For Interfirst Bank, he managed a loan portfolio that included approximately $95 million dollars in land development and construction loans. During his tenure with Briercroft Saving, Mr. Rutledge was initially responsible for the resolution of a portfolio of workout loans that exceeded $50 million. He was subsequently promoted to REO Manager for Briercroft whose responsibilities included managing and liquidating the foreclosed real estate assets of the Association.

Mr. Rutledge began his career in construction and homebuilding with his own small company immediately after college in 1978. During the four years after college he built and sold homes in North Austin which included a home in the Austin Association of Homebuilder's 1981 Parade of Homes.

Mr. Rutledge's educational accomplishments include earning a M.B.A from the University of Texas in 1978 and a B.B.A. from Texas Tech University in 1976.
